Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Lancaster is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Lancaster is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Wow, just wow—this place is absolutely amazing. I stopped in for breakfast and was immediately blown away by the endless crepe options, especially the fantastic variety of savory choices. The restaurant offers a great setup with a welcoming indoor seating area as well as a nice, small outdoor space. I ordered the everything breakfast crepe, and it was incredibly good, featuring a massive, perfectly folded crepe loaded with deliciousness inside. Of course, I couldn't leave without trying a dessert crepe as well, so I ordered the Berry Cheesecake crepe. The pictures I took simply don’t do it justice; it was absolute perfection, delivering both delicious flavor and a fantastic texture. Rachel’s Cafe and Creperie has officially been saved for all of my future visits, and I will definitely be coming back soon!

I always like to find Restaurant’s that provide an experience and yesterday we found Rachel’s. The service was phenomenal and our server Hailey did a great job of explaining the menu and its many options. My wife got the GF French Toast Crepe and added the vegan sausage which was suggested to us. Typically we wouldn’t have tried it but it added a really nice aspect of saltiness to the sweetness of the dish. I got the steak and eggs really enjoyed how the chives mushrooms and Swiss cheese pulled the whole dish together. Each crepe was meticulously put together and did not fall apart making each bite perfectly balanced. I cannot stress enough how wonderful this meal was. The hash browns were also yummy and the seasonal mocktail my wife had put a smile on her face and mine. Also great coffee. Thank you so much for providing an excellent first visit, we will be back!

The employees are always friendly here! Outside and inside seating is available. Very clean, and the food and drinks, super tasty!! Nutella hot chocolate is a must try or if you like coffee, the salted caramel Nutella mocha is delicious and has a nice energy boost with the added espresso. My go to is the breakfast burrito crepe with added protein, salsa and sour cream on the side. But honestly everything I've tried here has been delicious and well cooked. 10/10 experiences here and I highly recommend this place to anyone that asks for good place to eat in Lancaster.

Our waitress was super polite. The crepes are large and delicious. I’m assuming if you go on a weekend (I went on saturday), expect a long wait for a table. We went down to Building Character while we waited. Rachel’s was quite crowded and a bit overwhelming how many people were around the entrance, but it was worth it. (Also very lgbt+ friendly, which allowed me and my girlfriend to feel at ease). Here is a picture of my friend’s ‘Cookies N Cream’ crepe (The only picture I got). I got the ‘Veggie Omelet’ crepe with spinach added, it has to be one of the best breakfast items I’ve ever had. Super delicious, and big enough to save some for later. It appeared that the savory crepes were bigger than the sweet ones, but that’s my assumption from what I saw around me
